MY TEACHING GOALS

CREATE A POSITIVE, INCLUSIVEÂ AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
I believe that learning opportunities come both from successes and failures, particularly when we take the time to reflect on what has and has not worked and how that affects our actions moving forward. Hence, my first and foremost goal is to create a classroom culture where everyone acknowledges and accepts mistakes, as that is a critical component of learning. Each student should feel safe and welcomed in my classroom. They should respect each other and accept differences. It is crucial that all students in my class feel comfortable with one another to harbor a sense of community. So, I would try to create a positive environment by implementing different strategies, so that they can embrace their errors and grow through the experience.

INSPIRE CRITICAL, ANALYTICAL AND CREATIVE THINKING
My mission is to educate every student to their fullest potential and to empower them with a diverse set of perspectives to succeed in today’s multicultural and multidimensional environment. I aim to provide my students with the opportunity to take more control over their learning. These provide scope for them to strengthen not only their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, but also their analytical and critical thinking skills.

DRIVE ACTIVE CLASSROOM PARTICIPATION
My aim is to create interesting and relevant lessons for my students so that they are willingly and actively involved and engaged in my classroom. I believe that learning becomes more meaningful to students when they can interact with a problem or concept, thereby constructing their own knowledge through personal meaning, rather than teacher-imposed knowledge and teacher-directed activities. Hence, I plan to use interactive teaching strategies to create meaningful contexts that help my students construct knowledge based on their own experiences. In the process, I encourage learners to develop and apply their higher order thinking skills such as analyzing, reasoning and problem-solving skills
